Welcome to our home nestled in the hills of central portugal.
Casa tus nua is two 18th century village stone houses which have been totally refurbished set at the head of a beautiful forested valley between the Ocreza and Tejo rivers in the Castelo branco region of Portugal.
With stunning mountain views from all aspects and an abundance of animals and birds living in a unique micro climate such as.
Lynx. Wild boar. Deer. Iberian timber wolves. Eagles. Hawks. Buzzards and many other species.
Vale do cobrao leads down the valley to meet For do cobrao at the Ocreza river 5 minutes away where you will find the nearest restaurant to the property offering an excellent menu of local produce, wine and cheeses.
Head south up the valley will take you to the town of Vila velha do rodao 10 minutes away and the river Tejo. Here you will find plenty of local shops,restaurants, banks and cafes.
Vila Velha is also the cultural centre of our area with lots of fiestas and carnivals from spring to autumn. Here you will find the widest part of the river where our marina is located with boats to rent by the hour or the day or you could kick back and relax on a river tour all of which can be booked in the riverside restaurant.
25 minute drive will take you to Castelo branco where you have shopping malls, cinema and a seasonal waterpark. Travel another 15 minutes and you find yourself in the Serra da estrela mountains where there is some winter skiing.
Our area of Portugal is ideal for those who enjoy hiking, cycling, birdwatching or just relaxing. The roads lend themselves to motorcycle riding meandering through mountains and valleys with very little other traffic even in summer.
THE PROPERTY
The main house has 3 large bedrooms which can be set as double or twin rooms as required located on the ground floor along with one large bathroom and marble staircase giving access to the 1st floor where we have a second large bathroom and lobby with a doorway to the lounge and separate doorway to the kitchen and dining room. From the lounge a door leads out to the sun terrace with views over the surrounding forests.
An ornate footbridge take you to the secure parking area and garden and here you will find a bread oven and BBQ area. This level also leads to the entrance to the second house and pool level.
THE WEE HOUSE
This house has a ground floor room with a huge marble table for eating out of the sun. A stone internal staircase takes you to the first floor where we have a large room with a double bed and a double bed settee. There is an en-suite bathroom and door leading directly to the salt water swimming pool.
We also have an honesty bar attached to the property directly beneath the sun terrace where you will find cold beers and soft drinks all priced at 1 euro and the honesty box with all profits going to the volunteer firefighters and paramedics who keep us safe.

Rates vary from 60 euro off season to 100 august and sept. it is a self contained cottage with private access to the saltwater pool it has a kitchen and dining area downstairs and an outside bbq area. we provide breakfast essentials along with complementary tea and coffee.
